Recently, we conducted a mental health program designed to help Afghan women given the uncertainty of the current situation. This initiative focused on trauma healing, well-being, and increased awareness of self-care among young women and girls to contribute to a reduction in acts of violence and self-harm resulting from the restrictive policies in Afghanistan. Working in groups, participants also developed reflective papers that assessed the state of mental health in their respective provinces. These insightful documents offered valuable recommendations to address critical issues and raised awareness to support other women across Afghanistan.
