Mentorship for Higher Education Program

In July 2025, APT launched the second cycle of its Mentorship for Higher Education program, welcoming 27 talented young women and girls from across Afghanistan, representing diverse fields such as medicine, business, engineering, and international relations.

Each participant is paired with a mentor from APT’s global network of professionals and alumni. Alongside one-on-one mentorship, participants attend English language classes and join workshops on the application process—including personal statements, CV writing, language exams, and scholarship strategies. This program is initiated in response to the ban on education for women and girls in Afghanistan. Through this initiative, girls and young women will gain access to education that has been denied to them, while also building their leadership skills and confidence to create a better future for themselves and for Afghanistan.
