Introduction
During the past quarter, APT team organized two leadership programs – both online and in-person – to contribute in building the capacity of over 60 youth, the majority of them young women, from different provinces. The first program was conducted in November 2022 for 32 young men and women. The second program was conducted in January 2023, for 35 young women from across Afghanistan. The sessions were facilitated by expert national and international lecturers.
Social Project
The winning team of our leadership program, which was titled “The Change Makers” implemented their social project after they studied the basic skills of teamwork. The project had two phases. The first phase included an online session focused on helping the youth find ways to productively manage stress and deal with challenging situations. The second phase of the project involved distributing warm clothes to children living on the streets. They donated 35 packs of warm clothes to help these less fortunate children cared for and warm during winter.
