Program Overview

Afghans for Progressive Thinking (APT) is inviting applications for Advocacy & Writing Program to provide youth in Afghanistan with the skills to raise awareness about social issues and write policy briefs that address current challenges. In this program, participants will learn different types of advocacy, issue and stakeholder analysis, power mapping, policy brief writing, and more. 

After completing the intensive three-month program, participants are able to more effectively lobby for their causes and address the human rights concerns of their community. They will also receive internet support (Top Ups) during the program and also awarded a certificate of Completion.

  • Participants are selected on the basis of their interest and commitment to the human rights in Afghanistan;
  • Fluency in English is required;
  • Basic understanding of Academic Writing is required;
  • Applicants who have joined APT’s advocacy program before will not be eligible;
