Since 2021, Afghan youth, especially young women, have lost safe and formal avenues to participate in national and international decision-making more than before. They continue their activism inside and outside the country. Yet whether their voices are genuinely included in policymaking remains a concern.

As part of the Afghan Youth Representative to the United Nations (AYR) Program, Afghans for Progressive Thinking (APT) plans to host a youth-led dialogue between the finalists of the 2026–2027 AYR and Afghan youth.

The dialogue will be guided by the principles of protection, participation, representation, accountability, and meaningful connections between youth inside Afghanistan and those in the diaspora. Share your voice, experiences, and questions.
